Jonathan Frank
PhD candidate in the GIScience group, Department of Geography at Friedrich Schiller University Jena
Jonathan joined Alexander Brenning’s GIScience Group as a PhD student after completing his master’s thesis on spatial random forest variants and earning his degree in Geoinformatics at Friedrich Schiller University Jena. His project, funded by the Federal Environment Agency, focuses on the nationwide regionalization of groundwater nitrate pollution using innovative methods from geostatistics and AI. Jonathan’s research interests include geostatistics, machine learning, and hybrid models.
