Dr. Zhihao Wang
Former PhD candidate at the Geographic Information Science group, Department of Geography at Friedrich Schiller University Jena
Zhihao was a PhD candidate of the GIScience Group at Department of Geography, Friedrich Schiller University Jena. Her research focused on understanding and modelling natural hazards with machine learning, in particular landslide assessment studies.
She explored active learning and transfer learning for achieving rapid landslide assessment studies. Her research contributed to develop reliable landslide models as a basis for decision-making in spatial planning and land management. Zhihao has published several peer-reviewed publications (e.g., Geoscientific Model Development) and has given presentations and posters at international conferences (e.g., the European Geosciences Union (EGU) and the International Association of Geomorphologists (IAG)).
