Chao Wang
ELLIS unit Jena, Visiting Ph.D. Candidate
Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry
Chao’s research interests encompass hybrid modeling, which integrates process-based models with machine learning, as well as climate change, the terrestrial water cycle, and ecohydrology. His current research focuses on using data-model integration to deepen the understanding of complex interactions in ecohydrological processes.
Chao is currently a visiting Ph.D. candidate at the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry in Jena, starting from November 2024. Prior to that, he has been pursuing a direct Ph.D. program since September 2020 at Southern University of Science and Technology in Shenzhen, China.
