Vitus Benson
ELLIS PhD candidate* at the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry Jena and ETH Zurich

Vitus is an ELLIS PhD student at Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry, ELLIS Unit Jena and ETH Zürich under the supervision of Markus Reichstein and Fanny Yang. Currently he is working on data-driven modeling of the carbon cycle.
For this he is building a learned atmospheric transport model. His research interests are broadly speaking Deep Learning, Biogeochemistry, Climate Risk Mitigation and Complex Systems.
