Feini Huang
ELLIS unit Jena, Visiting Ph.D. Candidate
Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry

Feini’s research interests encompass explainable artificial intelligence for earth system science, deep learning models, land-atmosphere interaction, and hydrometeorological forecasting. She is currently focused on identifying valuable information within data-driven black-box models to gain a better understanding of complex land-atmosphere interactions and to improve predictions of extreme events such as droughts and floods.

Feini is currently a visiting Ph.D. Candidate at the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry in Jena, starting from April 2024. Prior to this, she has been pursuing her Ph.D. studies at Sun Yat-sen University in Zhuhai, China, since September 2021.
